Sadie German Shepherd Dog Adult Female in Spokane, Washington

My story
Meet Sadie, a 2.5 year, 50 pound German Shepard Mix (according to a Wisdom DNA panel, she is 3/4th Shepard, 1/4th cattle dog 1/4th Rottweiler!). Sadie loves a good adventure - hiking and exploring all the smells is among her favorite things to do. She has proven to have remarkable recall in all environments that we've observed.

Sadie has had a rough past but has come incredibly far over the past month. When she first came to us, she had an extreme fear of human touch but is now offering her paw to strangers! The ideal family must be willing to give her structure and come to multiple meet and greets with their current dog (if they have one) to assure it's a good fit. These meetings will allow her to become comfortable with the new family, establish a solid foundation for her new life and give her family time to learn what she needs in order to thrive in her new home.

Sadie is looking for a home without children and preferably one that has at least one other dog.

Sadie is currently in the care of a dedicated SHS foster, so you will need to contact the Foster Coordinator, Axton, via email at axton@spokanehumanesociety.org to schedule a time to meet her. Please have a Dog Adoption Survey filled out and attached to your email. You can find this survey linked at the top of the adoptable animals page on our website or under the "how to adopt tab.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sadie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
