Doris Chihuahua Senior Female in Spokane, Washington

My story
Leap Frog (the white pup) and Doris (the black and tan pup) are 6 and 7 year old bonded sisters who originally came from a home with over twenty other dogs. Due to their close bond, they do need to be adopted together and cannot be separated. So far, the sisters have gotten along with every dog they've met, but we always recommend a meet and greet prior to adopting just to make sure her and any other dogs in the home will get along.

Leap Frog is barely 5 pounds, such a petite girl! Her sister, Doris, a bit larger at 10 pounds, but still quite the little pair of ladies.

Both sisters are shy and introverted, but extremely sweet. They have been in a foster home to help them socialize and not be quite so scared in the noisy shelter environment. Leap Frog is certainly the more outgoing one, while Doris tends to hang back and let her sister see if it's safe first.

The two of them would benefit from a quiet home where they can settle in and adjust at their own pace. It might take a few weeks before they feel safe enough to show their true personalities. Kids under 12 years old might be overwhelming for them, so they may do best in a home with older children or none at all.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Doris, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
