Cameron Domestic Longhair Adult Male for sale in Spokane, Washington

My story
Obviously, Cameron is a bit on the scruffy looking side, but don't let that fool you, he is a gentleman underneath the slightly frazzled coat. He was recently diagnosed with thyroid issues, so he is on medication for this, for life. It is extremely easy to treat so don't let it frighten you off. His poor coat was a sign something was going on so we tested him and found the cause. He is very gentle and takes his medication without a struggle. He is already feeling better though the coat may need some professional attention...he's not a big fan of the BRUSH. He also recently had a full dental so his teeth are in great shape too.Cameron is quite chatty, mainly letting you know when he wants out. He dances back and forth in front of his door until you open it and then he leaps onto the floor and gets busy exploring. He always seems to be busy and moving somewhere. There is SO much to explore and just not enough time to do it. He is very curious and adventurous and would prefer to be out all of the time. He seems to tolerate easy going, non pushy cats here so he might be ok with a friend at home. We have completely different reports from two previous homes about how he is with other cats and dogs, so it is difficult to really say how he would be. I think it would depend a lot on the other animals' personalities, the activity and energy level in the home, the demands made on him, how secure he felt, etc etc. He is unfortunately also declawed which could be part of the problem. Declawed cats are often a bit cautious and defensive around other animals/people because they have lost their first line of defense. Cameron is a confident cat who tries to avoid any kind of conflict in the crowded cat room here which says a lot. He is always ready to greet people when he is out of his unit and loves to rubs against peoples' legs and accept chin scratches and gentle head strokes. He isn't a fan of being picked up and starts squirming to get down pretty quickly but he will always approach people for loving, when he feels comfortable. Let him set the mood. He gets quite playful when given the chance to open up and he is a very loving and affectionate cat. He definitely has different voices for different situations too and you'll get to know them too when you get to know him a bit better. Loves to lay in the sun.It really feels like he is very attentive when you talk to him or visit with him and he makes lots of gentle, warm eye contact. He has a special soft voice he uses for these conversations. He is a real character with lots of potential. I can see him with a dude, a best bud, someone to chill with. Just a couple of guys hanging out, talkin, havin a snack, watching people go by. Sounds good......
