Job Summary



The Member Experience Specialist II has intermediate knowledge on all products, services, loans, organizational policies and procedures. This position is responsible for providing a high level of quality service while cross-selling credit union products and services. This position will perform a variety of functions via telephone, email and by other means of communication to help facilitate the welcoming of new members to the credit union. This position has demonstrated the ability to handle moderate responsibilities in addition to the Member Experience Specialist II role.



Essential Job Functions

  • Initiate outbound welcome calls and/or email to new and potential members.

  • Strong sales skills with the ability to recognize cross-sell opportunities.

  • Acts as back-up to branch lobby staff in support of operational goals.

  • Liaison with Business Development Officer to identify and develop outside marketing opportunities.

  • Ability to work under limited supervision with latitude for objectivity and independent judgment.

  • Delivers personalized service that focuses on individual member needs.

  • Will be responsible for tracking and reporting leads and sales.

  • Ability to prioritize work based on the needs of the credit union.

  • Ability to analyze, research and resolve medium complexity problems under moderate guidance of a Manager or Senior Team Member.

  • Develop knowledge and skills through formal training classes or on-the-job experience.

  • Serve as resource or Subject Matter Expert for team.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Required

  • 3-4 years experience working in a customer service or support role

  • 2+ years experience in outbound sales calling environment.

  • Demonstrated intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and multiple software programs used to perform duties.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external member relationships

  • Proven verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must be bondable

Qualifications Desired

  • A strong familiarity of a financial institutions products and services, preferably in a credit union environment

Work Environment



This job requires the ability to use desktop computers and the ability to work a flexible work schedule to meet business needs.
